Niton Marks 10 Years with New Album ‘11’

Italian-Swiss electronic explorers Niton celebrate ten years of sonic innovation with their fourth album, ‘11,’ available today on LP and digital formats via Shameless Records and Pulver und Asche Records.

Formed in 2012 at the crossroads of Italy and Switzerland, Niton blends electric cello (Zeno Gabaglio), analog synthesizers (Luca Xelius Martegani), and amplified objects (El Toxyque) into a unique approach to electronic music. Over the past decade, they’ve crafted four albums and soundscapes for film, theater, and installations—constantly redefining what electronic music can be.

With ‘11,’ Niton embarks on a bold new chapter. For the first time, the trio worked collaboratively with other artists, enlisting ‘11’ international creatives across the album’s 10 tracks. This includes luminaries like art-rockers Peter Kernel, experimental drummer Julian Sartorius, vocalist and poet Meryem Aboulouafa, saxophonist John Butcher, electronic composer Olivia Louvel, and Andy Moor of The Ex.

Mastered by Henning Schmitz of Kraftwerk, ‘11’ marks a pivotal moment in Niton’s journey. It bridges the past and future with striking originality, signaling a maturation in their craft and an eagerness to explore untapped sonic terrains.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, ‘11’ promises an unforgettable auditory experience—an ode to ten years of Niton and a daring step into what’s next.
