‘Feather Monsoon’ by Eeli Helin | New Album, ‘Vestibule’
Exclusive track premiere of ‘Feather Monsoon’ by Eeli Helin, taken from his new album, ‘Vestibule’, out November 19th via Trepanation Recordings.
‘Vestibule’ is the second full-length from the Finnish multi-instrumentalist, artist, and experimental musician EeliHelin, due out on November 19 on digital and CD formats via Trepanation Recordings.
The new album tails the release of his debut solo outing ‘The Lurks’ from the summer of ’21, being somewhat of a continuation to it by nature but drawing influence and inspiration from a different end of the spectrum. While ‘The Lurks’ was founded on the idea of building massive and immersive drones borderlining being monotonous to achieve a meditative and timeless atmosphere, ‘Vestibule’ is a more eclectic and compact body of work, where each of its eight tracks focus on their own aural narratives, having their respective emphases on different tonalities and instrumentation. ‘Vestibule’ is first and foremost and entirety put together by the ambition to create something different and unrestricted, the outcome being an album that seamlessly combines elements and nuances from ambient, industrial, trap, harsh noise, world music, synthwave, witch house, and more.
Each of the album’s tracks concentrate on their own themes, whether places, events, or people, and aim to express emotions and thoughts directly linked to them without the inclusion of written word or vocals.
As well as digital download this release will be available on limited edition CD (limited to 50 copies) in December 2021. You can pre-order your copy here!
