Emerging with raw energy and a sound that demands attention, Koyo are set to release their new single ‘Hooked’ on 6th September, as they prepare for their third album ‘Onism,’ dropping 1st November 2024.

‘Hooked’ tackles the ever-growing addiction to technology, wrapped in a fusion of classic, psychedelic, and progressive rock. With driving basslines and swirling synths, Koyo channels the essence of 70s futurism while keeping a modern edge. As the band explains, the song’s concept was sparked by the unsettling idea of becoming cyborgs, already inseparable from our phones.

This single sets the tone for ‘Onism,’ a record born from the band’s struggles with identity and creativity during the pandemic. Reigniting their passion at Leeds’ Piglove Brewery, Koyo returned to the studio with newfound purpose, channeling the spirit of their debut into this new project, which they consider their best work yet.

Koyo, formed by Leeds Conservatoire alumni, have made waves with their intense live shows and genre-blending sound… ‘Onism’ is poised to take their journey even further.
