‘Starry Night’ by Love’n’Joy
Ukrainian three-piece psychedelic band Love’n’Joy released new music video ‘Starry Night’ from the debut album ‘Bender on the Silk Road’.
Creeping smoke, shiny velvet, three muses, living paintings in apartment repair scene – striking new vision of contemporary art inspired by the old masterpieces.
‘Starry Night’ is a first music video directed by fashion photographer Anna Evstigneeva and artist Ilya Chernyshevskiy. They’ve been working together for a long time and made several photo projects, combining fashion elements with the painting inspiration.

“We were just working on a new project for the music festival in Amsterdam, and I was so inspired by Ilya’s idea of creating musicians portraits in the style of Dutch Golden Age Painting. That’s how the idea of creating Music Video together came up. Our budget was very tight, so the concept was to create something out of nothing and we decided to shoot right in my apartment, where the repair was going on. We covered everything with fabrics and set up the lights – and then the magic happened.” – Anna Evstigneeva.
In May 2020, due to the coronavirus outbreak, Love’n’Joy had to cancel their first UK tour, including performance at The Great Escape festival. Taking this opportunity to record new material, the band is getting ready to hit the road again this fall.
