Walrus – Glam Returns (2014) review
Walrus “Glam Returns” (Poncho Records & Out of Sound
Records, 2014)
Records, 2014)
Psychedelic pop so good you would expect these kids to be
drinking the LSD straight from the bottle. Honestly easily the closest band I
can compare this to is Grizzly Bear but pushed further in psychedelic
territories with the right amounts of effects. Perhaps they were raised on The
Byrds and The Bachs and a heavy dose of Love. The jangle of their guitars would
fit well with the Paisley Underground scene in California during the early 80s,
Rain Parade anybody? Look for a cassette release at some point this month.
