‘Moonlit Panacea’ is the brand new interdimensional journey of Rainbow Island’s endless adventure, out via Italian label Riforma as digital and cassette January 18th 2023! Blurred riddims and psychedelic ritual ambient music from the infamous quartet born in Rome and now displaced around Europe’s interstices.

Finding a virtual peaceful spot despite Illmatrix troubles, Rainbow Island gets comfy. ‘Moonlit Panacea’ growed in the last years through hours of free jam, both online and at home, followed by a final selection and reworking. The tracks on ‘Moonlit Panacea’ are wrapped in a sense of the fantastic, unfolding a snug and meditative ritual. The first side sneaks off through a digital crooked blues, rolling arpeggios and beats punctuated by digital cymbals. The relentless, therapeutic rhythm leads towards a safe place, indicated by the Birubu bird. Once the tulpas have left and after resting, one continues with the B-side. More than 20 minutes of music-soaks: moony, dungeon-like ambient and comfy synths to heal wounds.

Electronic psychedelia totally free in its forms and ideas… losing itself in Lou Pappagallo’s verbal flows, passing in an instant from mind-numbing micro-loops to stupefying chasms. A sense of calm after the storm pervades the entire album. A feeling that heralds a future in which to set out again: pathetic lost walkers playing with the instruments of the folk of the future.
