Veteran songwriter Milan McAlevy is back with a bang, dropping his second single ‘Time Has Passed Me By’ to mark the release of his introspective new LP, ‘Bucksport Motel.’

This poignant track isn’t just another song about aging, McAlevy describes it as his most honest and relatable work yet. He tackles the universal feeling of being out of touch, captured perfectly in the opening line: “all the shit I thought was cool, well, it ain’t cool no more.”

‘Time Has Passed Me By’ is a standout on an album brimming with collaboration. McAlevy enlisted a colorful cast of characters, from family and friends to neighbors, to contribute a rich tapestry of sounds. Drawing inspiration from classic country and the weightless sounds of Brian Eno’s ‘Apollo’ soundtrack, McAlevy crafted a sonic landscape that perfectly complements the album’s introspective lyrics. He describes it as “zero gravity,” achieved through his mastery of the lap steel guitar.
