Bristol-based label Shall Not Fade releases ‘José,’ the eagerly awaited album by Kid Simius, which already gaining support from electronic music heavyweights like Amê, Massimiliano Pagliara, and Catz ‘n Dogz.

The ten tracks are a joyful and multifaceted reflection of Kid Simius’ recent musical and personal journey. Naming the album after his first name highlights his unique approach to creativity.

Born in Granada and now based in Berlin, José Antonio Garcia Soler (Kid Simius) has always infused his music with personal experiences, inspired by his grandfather’s electric bass playing. His journey into music began with the guitar, leading to DJing, electronic music, and a DIY approach that has shaped his signature sound—a blend of various genres.

Since moving to Berlin, Kid Simius has become a key figure in the city’s music scene, releasing his first record in 2012. With releases on labels like ‘Permanent Vacation’ and his own Jirafa Records, ‘José’ marks a new chapter in his career.

Six years after ‘Planet Of The Simius,’ ‘José’ redefines his musical vision. The album showcases his versatility, with tracks like ‘The Cure,’ a nostalgic nod to his early guitar days, and ‘Karaoke,’ a celebration of Italo Disco. Collaborations with artists like Bonaparte further highlight his genre-blending approach.

‘José’ is a vibrant reminder that the dance floor is a sanctuary where music brings people together. Kid Simius will take this spirit on the road with the ‘Ask For My Number Tour,’ starting September 21 in Granada, with shows across Europe.
