Mayflower Madame Unveil New Single ‘Crippled Crow’ as They Prepare for Third Album ‘Insight’
Norwegian post-punk outfit Mayflower Madame releases their latest single, ‘Crippled Crow,’ today, October 15, 2024, across all digital platforms.
The track serves as the fourth single from their eagerly awaited third album, ‘Insight,’ set for release on November 1st through their own label Night Cult Records, in collaboration with Up In Her Room (UK) and Icy Cold Records (France).
With ‘Crippled Crow,’ Mayflower Madame takes their signature blend of edgy post-punk and lush shoegaze to new heights, weaving in elements of noise-rock and dark-wave. A commanding bass line and vibrant drum beat drive the track, guiding listeners through haunting verses, explosive guitar-laden choruses, and a blistering outro that hints at both longing and catharsis. This is the sound of Oslo’s frost-ridden streets, marked by a yearning for transformation.
The album ‘Insight’ has been mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio, known for his work with The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, and The Vacant Lots. The result is an album that promises to be Mayflower Madame’s most captivating release yet. Alongside core members Trond Fagernes (vocals, guitar, bass) and Ola J. Kyrkjeeide (drums), ‘Crippled Crow’ features contributions from Kenneth Eknes (synth) and Rune Øverby (guitar).
