Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter and guitarist Searows just dropped a new track, ‘to be seen,’ a soft, piano-led number off his upcoming EP ‘flush,’ which hits on Friday, November 22 via Last Recordings On Earth partnered with Communion Records.

This one comes after his earlier singles ‘toothache’ and ‘martingale,’ both equally tender vibes, digging into the whole self-exploration thing and how we interact with the world. flush is shaping up to be more of the same, in the best way.

Talking about ‘to be seen,’ Searows (aka Alec Duckart) said it kind of wrote itself after he watched the movie X. He wasn’t planning on writing about it, but it bled into the lyrics anyway. It’s a track about the raw, vulnerable feeling of really being seen by someone you love—both physically and emotionally.

‘flush’ marks Searows’ latest release on Matt Maltese’s label Last Recordings On Earth (partnered with Communion Records), and it’s produced by Jonathan Pearce from The Beths. Duckart found his creative lane on TikTok, posting these raw, minute-long snippets of his songwriting. People were hooked, but they weren’t full songs yet. So, he and Pearce hit the studio to finally bring those viral sketches to life.

His first full album, ‘Guard Dog,’ was a lo-fi gem he put out on his own, catching on with an audience already circulating his music on TikTok. No expectations, no pressure, but it picked up some serious love, getting co-signed by indie names like Ethel Cain and Gracie Abrams. Since then, Duckart’s even gone on to open for them on tour. ‘flush’ promises to keep building on that quiet momentum, with songs pulling from Duckart’s personal experiences, family, and some cinematic influences like X and I Saw The TV Glow.
