Searows Releases New EP ‘flush’
Pacific Northwest artist Searows, the evocative moniker of Alec Duckart, has unveiled his latest EP, ‘flush,’ through Last Recordings On Earth—a label helmed by Matt Maltese in collaboration with Communion Records.
This release captures the raw, emotive songwriting that initially brought Duckart’s talent into the spotlight, reimagined in full bloom with the help of producer Jonathan Pearce (The Beths).
Duckart first garnered attention through TikTok, where fleeting sketches of his songwriting resonated deeply, amassing a devoted following. These short-lived glimpses of his artistry, unpolished but profoundly affecting, left an indelible impression that begged for completion. Years later, the promise of those early ideas has materialized into ‘flush.’
Recorded earlier this year, the EP represents a bridge between past and present, revisiting half-formed ideas with fresh perspective. Each track maps the intricate terrain of identity, familial bonds, love, and the self, with cinematic undertones inspired by films like X and I Saw the TV Glow. In ‘flush,’ Searows extends an invitation to sit with the quiet moments, the unsaid words, and the echoes of fleeting inspiration—now fully realized and achingly resonant.
