Last Eon Releases Their Second Album, ‘Wooden Bodies’
Today, Italian alternative-post-rock band Last Eon unveils ‘Wooden Bodies,’ their much-anticipated second album.
The band rose from the ashes of Shy Eon, a previous project led by guitarist and vocalist Sergio Todisco, also known for his solo work as A Giant Echo. After revamping and rearranging existing material, Todisco brought new life to the project, assembling a lineup that now includes Fabiano Pittiglio (guitar, backing vocals), Emanuele Tartaglia (drums), Alessandro Prete (bass), and Manuel Parisella (keyboards).
Last Eon’s debut album, ‘Before I Close My Eyes,’ arrived in late 2018, introducing their evocative soundscapes. Shortly afterward, Todisco’s former drummer in A Giant Echo, Riccardo Bianchi, joined the band—this time on synths—just as production began for ‘Wooden Bodies.’
The album showcases Todisco’s intricate songwriting, with all tracks written and arranged by him. Still, the bandmates lent their creative touch to some instrumental arrangements, enriching the overall sound. ‘Wooden Bodies’ was recorded and mixed by Todisco alongside Alessandro Assante, who also mastered the album.
With ‘Wooden Bodies,’ Last Eon takes a bold step forward, crafting a record that promises to resonate deeply with fans of cinematic post-rock and alternative soundscapes.
