From the creative mind of Michele Ducci, formerly of M+A and Santii, comes a new chapter in his solo career. His latest project, ‘NUBA Live Tape,’ will be released on January 24, 2025.

This album is an intimate, live-to-tape recording, featuring reimagined versions of three tracks from his debut album ‘SIVE’ and introducing four brand-new songs. Today, Ducci releases ‘Even Before,’ a single that pushes his sound into fresh territory. Available worldwide on all digital platforms, this track showcases his evolving work. The release is accompanied by a music video, directed by Ducci himself, with visual contributions from Letizia Mandolesi.

Here’s what Michele shared about the video: “I have thought for a long time about those passages that are given as an inverted perspective, as in the intuitions on the Pavel Florenskij icon. A before of the before on which the musical chorus seem to tell me a lot. My bae Letizia and I drew the video by hand. A video that is another way to say the song: an obsessive search for the chorus as paraeidolia of creative evolution. All my work, after all, for years, in many ways even senseless maybe, but of vital importance to live also with joy, is on this: immanence suffered, like those who had completely lost their memory, and the songs that are lives, nunzi, people who knock on my door, waking me up every time who knows where.”

The album itself features three reimagined tracks from ‘SIVE’ alongside four brand-new songs. In ‘HIC,’ the original’s percussive, jagged beat poetry evolves into a poignant piano ballad. New tracks like ‘Even Before’ and ‘It’s Hard to Be Easily Loved’ span from upbeat, summery pop to relaxed, autumnal ballads. Ducci’s gentle, warm vocals are perfectly complemented by Letizia Mandolesi’s vibrant backing harmonies.
