Cash & Skye, the Los Angeles duo of Henri Cash and Sophia Skye, have been casually crafting songs for nearly 7 years without genre constraints or deadlines.

Their debut album ‘Just A Stranger’ arrives after the success of their 2021 single ‘No More Candy’ (Third Man Records). A mix of Americana, rock, and punk ethos, the album captures their 7-year musical journey. Some tracks feature just Cash and Skye, while others include members of Starcrawler, Cash’s celebrated band. Recorded between tours and college, the album combines modern techniques with analog tape, paying homage to the classic records that shaped them.

The lead single ‘Stranger,’ out today, twangs with country influence. Henri Cash describes it as “how you never know when you’re leaving or where you’ve left because there’s a fish on every side of you and you’re dead center of your school,” reflecting both the feeling of being trapped and the longing for change.
