Samsun – ‘Samsun’ (Morgan Blue Town). Formed in 1969, Samsun toured internationally before catching the attention of Geoff Gill (ex-The Smoke), Wil Malone (ex-Orange Bicycle), and Cliff Wade (ex-Fickle Pickle). They recorded a full album at Morgan Studios, but only three tracks saw release in the Dutch and UK markets. The band later evolved into Oscar, but this release offers a rare glimpse into their early sound. Now, 52 years later, Samsun’s long-lost album emerges from the vaults. Sourced from the original master tapes, it highlights the prolific output of Morgan Studios during the late ’60s and early ’70s, adding another piece to their storied legacy.
