‘The Future’ by Ananda Mida | New Album, ‘Live At Duna Jam’

Exclusive video premiere of ‘The Future’ by Ananda Mida, taken from their upcoming album ‘Live at Duna Jam,’ set for release on July 12, 2024, via Heavy Psych Sounds.

Ananda Mida, a stoner and psychedelic rock collective led by Max Ear (OJM’s drummer) and Matteo Pablo Scolaro, combines ’70s rock influences with desert and psychedelic vibes. Their debut, ‘Anodnatius,’ dropped in 2016, celebrating positive energies, while their 2019 follow-up, ‘Cathodnatius,’ explored darker themes.

In 2021, the band released a live EP, ‘Karnak,’ featuring Mario Lalli on guitar. Their 2023 album, ‘Reconciler,’ wrapped up a trilogy by symbolizing the reconciliation of contrasting forces. Ananda Mida’s next release, scheduled for July 2024, is a live album from Duna Jam, to be released by Heavy Psych Sounds Records. They’ve supported acts like BRMC, Fatso Jetson, and Yawning Man, touring across Europe.

Regarding Duna Jam, the band comments: “On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, we had the privilege of performing live for the Duna Jam audience as the sun set over the beach and heat waves, along with sandstorms, rose from the Sahara to the west. It was an unforgettable concert that left a profound emotional impact on us as the entire scene and atmosphere seemed to “crystallize” in its own unique space-time, so to speak.”
