‘Olyckskorp’ by Urtidsdjur

Exclusive video premiere of ‘Olyckskorp’ from the self-titled debut LP by Urtidsdjurs.

Olyckskorp (“croaker” in Swedish) is a song about an individual that always complains and feels sorry for himself. It can be found on Urtidsdjurs self-titled debut LP.

The video for the song is the story about a little unfortunate “bird” that is having a really bad day. It was created in spring 2020 as the world was coming to a halt because of the pandemic. The bass player of the band got hybris and turned his whole apartment into a green screen animation studio. It took much longer than he optimistically anticipated and nearly cost him his work, relationship, and sanity to finish this project. To the big relief for the band the video finally got finished and the apartment has since been restored. Everyone involved are feeling well, and almost no endangered nor extinct animals were hurt in the making of this video.

Urtidsdjur are a band from from Uppsala, Sweden. They play a mix of psychedelic progressive rock. The band is influenced by artists such as Bo Hansson, Dungen, Atomic Swing, Slowgold, and Den Stora Vilan.

The members all have their roots from different parts of Sweden. In the summer of 2019, the band spent a week in a small chapel in the countryside of Uppland. Salvation or remissions of sins did not occur, instead the band taped their self-titled debut album in front of the altar.
