‘Blue Sun’ by Everything But The Everything featuring Olivia Barchard | 90’s Driven Sound Soaked in Echoes of Guitar
Bay area songwriter, producer and notable concert promoter Izzy the Gent is presenting new single via his project Everything But The Everything.
‘Blue Sun’ features guest vocals by SF vocalist Olivia Barchard, who is known for her bands Moon Museum and Breakdown Valentine. The indie track soars with a strong 90’s driven sound soaked in echoes of guitar, Izzy’s distinct bass stylings and Barchards powerful voice.
Izzy The Gent takes a different approach to producing and releasing music under his Everything But The Everything moniker. As a bass player and producer by nature, he pairs each of his indie-rock tracks to a specific voice, knowing that one person will be the perfect fit for the song.
Speaking on the single, Izzy reflects “Olivia and I have played shows together and shared several bills over the years in the San Francisco music scene. When I listened to Moon Museum’s recent release, I was floored. I had to reach out to her and ask if she would be interested in a collaboration. She agreed, and we got to work right away.”
Izzy grew up with an interest in different genres of music, from punk, indie and electronic and knew the most rewarding part of the process is often those who you work with on music groups and projects. ‘Blue Sun’ has all the best elements of an indie genre track, and has the stamp of Izzy’s passion for bass guitar and creating a feeling with his production that is unique.
