‘From The Clouds’ by The Quick & Easy Boys | “Cosmic Freak Out Rock And Roll”

Exclusive track premiere of ‘From The Clouds’ by The Quick & Easy Boys featuring Steve Swatkins. The track is taken from their upcoming album ‘Cliffs Of The Scarlet Imperius’.

The Quick & Easy Boys play their own brand of cosmic freak out rock and roll. The power-trio from Portland, OR formed in 2004 and has toured the country a bajillion times in support of 8 albums. The Boys have toured with/supported Deer Tick, Turkuaz, Fruition, Funky Meters, The Motet, the Nth Power and more. The band has also backed up Peter Yarough (Peter, Paul and Mary) Cris Jabobs, and frequent/longtime collaborator Steve Swatkins.

“‘From The Clouds’ sets the tone for the intergalactic love odyssey that is the ‘Cliffs Of The Scarlet Imperius’ with its infectious up-tempo groove and lyrics that bring your attention to the skies and beyond… The upbeat dance track is classic The Quick & Easy Boys in its design to make you move, while the addition of longtime cohort Swatkins (LA-based keyboard guru) adds a futuristic if not a slightly unhinged element of danger to the track, much like a spaceship entering an unstable atmosphere…” The Quick and Easy Boys

Steve Swatkins about ‘From The Clouds’

“I’ve long suspected the Quick & Easy Boys were descended from a race of intergalactic commandos-turned-casanovas and this new track only serves to confirm these suspicions. It’s like they have achieved the musical equivalent of light-speed travel but there’s no goddamned steering wheel on their flying saucer. When they asked me to play synthesizers on the song I considered it a very high compliment, they normally only communicate with other highly evolved unstable multi-dimensional beings. They still should’ve mixed my keyboards louder.”
