LoveyDove, the creative partnership of “Queen of Lo-Fi” Azalia Snail and LA producer/musician Dan West, are preparing to release their new LP, Rude Dawgs, a nine-track collection of noisy art-rock songs about love, politics and community.
‘Rude Dawgs’ is an organic time-capsule, capturing the turbulence of the past several years with post-punk angular guitars and psychedelic breakdowns, while Snail tackles the political climate, writing lyrics that capture the disorder and chaos in freeform poetry. Groovy fuzz-pop anthem ‘Good Leash’ blasts a triumphant trumpet, primal screams and a driving tambourine while capturing the vibe of a retro-TV action theme song that shares a sonic space with bands like The Go! Team.
