‘Embrace’ by Catch The Breeze feat. Camilla Florentz | New Album, ‘Into the Wide’

Exclusive video premiere of ‘Embrace’ by Catch The Breeze featuring Camilla Florentz, taken from the upcoming album, ‘Into the Wide’, out August 26th, 2022.

‘Embrace’ hits you like a heatwave and covers you with musical warmth. A sizzling hihat swells into a surge of riveting bass and guitar united in a forceful yet melodic riff: “Lush swells of sounds – move ahead like the dark is not there”.

‘Embrace’ is the fourth single off the forthcoming album ‘Into the Wide’ by Catch The Breeze. Aage Kinch crowns the music with his strong lead vocals beautifully surrounded by Camilla Florentz’s (ONBC) aetheric voice. Kasper Staub’s (Lowly) synth complements the song tastefully. ‘Embrace’ is an example of Catch The Breeze’s unique blend of alternative rock, dream pop and Nordic shoegaze.

‘Into the Wide’ is the second album from Catch The Breeze and the culmination of three years of intense creativity: The drummer dived deep into the entanglements of polyrhythms, the singer moved from the big city to the countryside, and the bassist followed his musicality through different bands and genres. ‘Into the Wide’ is all about range, openness and creating something new together. “We are really proud to present this album and we look forward to sharing the music with you all”, say the band members.

The lyrics draw the listener into a universe of personal experiences and big questions filtered through metaphors and images. They are about seeing oneself and one’s relations in a new light and about life and hope: “move ahead like the dark is not there. Fade into, life somewhere” (‘Embrace’). ”Breathe the air. In the sky, in the sky we’re waiting”. (‘Hollow’)

To capture the experienced band’s musical synergy is the greater part of ‘Into the Wide’ recorded live at Tapetown Studios, Aarhus, while the intense and charismatic vocal was recorded at Heyman Studios, Copenhagen. The music is beautifully accompanied by guest musicians Kasper Staub, synth (Lowly) and Camilla Florentz, vocals (ONBC). Everything has been expertly mixed by Christian Alex Petersen, Grapehouse Studios (MEW, Marching Church, Lissand others). ‘Into the Wide’ is the follow-up to the 2018 debut album, ‘Glow’. Cover artwork is a painting by Jesper Merlit (a former bandmate from the Yellowish days). “Jesper’s talent as a painter reminds us of our shared past in Yellowish. It’s something we cherish and we are happy that we can use one of his paintings as the album cover for ‘Into the Wide’, says the band.
