‘Golden Leaf’ by Larsen & Alessandrto Sciaraffa | 19th Album by Cult Band from Turin
Italian experimental band Larsen are announcing their 19th album, ‘Golden Leaf’. It’s a collaboration project with Alessandro Sciaraffa, out November 18th, 2022 via Important Records.
This time around the cult band are exploring free form sounds and spatial dynamics by real time composing and creating a sonic and social environment. ‘Golden Leaf’ shows the will of the band to collaborate as ongoing dialogues and portals to new paths.
The teaser is part of a wider documentation shot by video maker Omar Bovenzi at the performance held at Alessandro Sciaraffa’s workshop in Turin (Italy) the recording of which constituted the raw material the album was built on.
‘Golden Leaf’ documents a four-hour site specific performance by the group and Alessandro Sciaraffa featuring interactive sound totems designed by Sciaraffa and exclusive food creations by chef Gabriele Gatti.
The performance took place at a secret location in Turin in 2021 and was meant as an alchemical rite with the audience being an integral part of it. It was recorded and then edited and assembled into two pieces by long-time collaborator, sound engineer, solo musician Paul Beauchamp.
