’How To F*ck Everything’ kickstarted when a plane got denied landing due to the rain of volcanic ash caused by Etna, which pervaded the area above Catania airport, the single, No Landing For Ashes shapes in this moment. All tracks produced and recorded by Giuseppe “Lacinskij” Schillaci with drum, bass, samples, broken sounds, synthesizers, tape deck recorder, akai mpc and all sorts of sounds stolen from the internet or sampled by himself.
‘No Landing For Ashes’ is a mix of ambient electronics, post-rock and shoegaze full of cinematic aesthetics and post-modern sounds that hurt feelings. Soundfield recording, synths, drum, fx and featuring electric guitar by Mario Lo faro(Clustersun). ’No Landing for Ashes’ was written on a plane, during a denied landing due to the rain of volcanic ash caused by Etna, which pervaded the area above Catania airport.
Lacinskij is a project by the Italian musician Giuseppe Schillaci. He’s also a producer, bass player, sound engineer, composer , sound designer and head of Doremillaro [sb] Recs. Schillaci played and toured abroad between Europe and USA with his main band Diane And The Shell. Over the years he has also worked, played and collaborated in many ways with several musicians (Veivecura, Mapuche, Alì, Colapesce, Cesare Basile, Uzeda) and songwriters in studio and live productions, appearing in more than 20 albums as musician or producer/sound engineer and performing hundreds of live concerts. His first solo release, ‘Sound[e]scaping vol. I,’ an album influenced by contemporary electronic music and 16 bit era video games music, was released on his own label Doremillaro [sb] Recs in 2022. Lacinskij released three albums until now.
