Exclusive video premiere of ‘Cascades’ by Sam Roberts Band, taken from the latest album, ‘The Adventures of Ben Blank’.

Following the October release of their record, ‘The Adventures of Ben Blank,’ Sam Roberts Band is releasing a new music video for their track, ‘Cascades’. The new video, which follows Roberts on a lonesome walk across a rural highway, was filmed during some late-night downtime during the video shoot for ‘Projection,’ the video, with its beautiful simplicity, captures the emotive longing of the track.

The atmospheric video showcases the lyrics of the track, capturing the song’s palpable desire. A fan favourite from their current album ‘The Adventures Of Ben Blank’ and a song that’s quickly become a highlight at their live show, Sam describes ‘Cascades’ as “A call…like a bird to a longed-for, elusive mate….awaiting a response. Every melody I tried to set against the piano part seemed to want to start on a high note and fall… cascade downwards… it’s helpful when the music itself provides the metaphor.”

The band recently embarked on their North American Tour, which includes a host of upcoming U.S. stops like Philadelphia, Washington D.C, and New York City.

‘The Adventures of Ben Blank’ is singer/songwriter Sam Roberts’ eighth album, and 5th under the Sam Roberts Band moniker. The new record takes a twangy and conceptual turn, seeing Roberts embody the titular character, a lone wolf type with a hardened exterior that slowly fractures as the album runs on.
