‘Millions Of Heartbeats’ by Kate Nash | New Album, ‘9 Sad Symphonies’
Singer-songwriter and actress Kate Nash unveils the highly anticipated release of her fifth studio album, ‘9 Sad Symphonies,’ under her new label, Kill Rock Stars, slated for June 21.
Accompanying this announcement is the debut of her latest single, ‘Millions Of Heartbeats,’ along with a captivating music video helmed by director Ryan Baxley. Set against elaborate hand-painted backdrops, the video captures Kate’s performance, setting the stage for a cinematic odyssey exploring themes of adversity, resilience, and the enduring essence of hope.
In discussing ‘Millions of Heartbeats,’ Kate reflects on its thematic resonance, describing it as an ode to reclaiming one’s passion in the face of disillusionment. “‘Millions of Heartbeats’ is a song about losing your spark,” Kate explains. “It can be difficult to find hope in a world that’s constantly bombarding you with bad news, chaos and capitalism. It’s scary when you lose that spark and can’t lift yourself out of a pit. It can feel like that light you once had might never come back. The button to the song is that there’s millions of heartbeats on this planet and that’s the reason we have to try. All we have right now is earth and each other. And that’s actually a lot. So just keep trying.”
This release follows Kate’s recent single, ‘Change,’ a stirring orchestral piece celebrating the bravery inherent in embracing personal transformation.
