Alan Regardin Releases ‘Ritual Tones’

French musician and composer Alan Regardin has unveiled ‘Ritual Tones,’ an evocative album blending the essence of traditional drone music with contemporary sounds.

This captivating release comes through Ormo Records and Nunc, with production handled by the French collective Les Mouflons.

‘Ritual Tones’ features compositions for trombone, flugelhorn, saxophone, and positive organ, emphasizing intricate intonation and a rich palette of harmonic and timbral textures. The album’s chord iterations create an immersive experience, drawing listeners into a suspended state where time feels elongated, inviting deep reflection on the often elusive present. It seeks to resonate with the elements of our world and our inner selves.

Based in Nantes, France, Alan Regardin is known for his innovative approach to electronics and the trumpet. His work spans noise and traditional music, exploring the nature of sound and its vibratory spaces within the realm of experimental music. Regardin’s solo projects and collaborations with bands like Derby Derby, No Tongues, and Onceim highlight his versatile talent. He is also a co-founder of Ormo Records.
