Exclusive track premiere of ‘Decerebration’ by Gods & Punks, taken from the upcoming album ‘Death,’ slated for release on July 26th, 2024, via Electric Valley Records.

Brazilian stoner outfit Gods & Punks will release their fifth full-length album, ‘Death,’ on July 26, 2024, both digitally and in four unique vinyl variants. The album explores frontman Alexandre’s near-death experience from 2021.

Vocalist Alexandre comments: “The centerpiece of the album, ‘Decerebration,’ is a doomy and Sabbathy 5-minute track that features one of the band’s heaviest moments. I sent Rodrigo a song idea, and he heavily altered it. Together, we transformed the track I had composed into ‘Decerebration’ over the phone.”

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Gods & Punks was founded in 2013 by brothers Alexandre and Pedro Canhetti, blending Black Sabbath’s heavy riffs with Rush’s intricate melodies. After gaining acclaim with their ‘Voyage Series’ albums, they continued to evolve and support causes during the pandemic. Now, after a brief hiatus, they return with the highly anticipated album ‘Death,’ exploring Alexandre’s near-death experience through seven intense tracks.
