Arthur Ahbez, a New Zealand-born songwriter, fuses 1960s musical influences with folk-rock and a laid-back, psychedelic twist. His 2013 debut ‘Gold,’ a self-recorded mix of folk and psychedelia, quickly found a global audience, with singles ‘Walk On’ and ‘The Fundamentals’ gaining radio traction and landing on American TV. In 2017, Ahbez released ‘Volume II,’ showcasing his growth with tracks like ‘Painters Portrait’ that blend British folk with 60s rock vibes. With his new band The Flaming Ahbez, Arthur’s latest record, set to release in November 2024, promises more energy, volume, and a bolder sonic exploration.

Winter’s grip had me tight, but there I was, nestled in the bosom of that ancient city, feeling its old-world charms creep into my bones. Love was in the air, a rebirth of sorts, shedding the weight of a decade’s grind working back in New Zealand. Autumn left me full of inspiration, pure euphoria, the golden leaves slowly falling and the trees beginning to slumber. It was a magical place to be.”
