Luxembourg-based indie trio Pleasing is back with ‘black leather boots,’ the third single from their upcoming EP, set to drop this fall via Two Steps Twice.

Emerging from frontman Patrick Miranda’s introspective search for clarity amidst emotional turbulence, Pleasing has carved out a space for themselves by fearlessly tackling themes like depression, isolation, and existential struggle. Their honest and raw sound, steeped in personal reflection, has captured the attention of fans across Europe, landing them spots at major French festivals, including Motorcultor and Francofolies de la Rochelle in 2023. Now, with the release of the second in a series of connected EPs, the band continues to explore these weighty topics, determined to reach even broader audiences.

Following earlier singles ‘bleak’ and ‘there’s something wrong with everybody,’ Pleasing’s latest offering, ‘black leather boots,’ plunges into the haunting aftermath of unresolved trauma and a fractured relationship. The song paints a vivid picture of climbing an emotional “mountain of trauma,” representing the difficult, often painful steps toward healing.

With an upcoming performance at the iconic Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg today, Pleasing is also set to hit the stage at Cardiff’s SWN Festival this autumn, as they continue to bring their emotionally charged sound to new audiences.
