“Big’n Cranks Up the Noise with New Single ‘End Transmission’ Ahead of ‘End Comes Too Soon Release’”

Big’n is back and louder than ever. Their latest single, ‘End Transmission,’ just dropped, and it’s a taste of what’s to come on their new album, ‘End Comes Too Soon,’ set to land on November 15th, 2024, via Computer Students™.

After nearly three decades, the legendary Chicago noise rockers still have the fire—and they’re cranking the volume to eleven.

Formed back in 1990, Big’n carved their name into the noise rock scene with blistering riffs, guttural howls, and a rhythm section that hit like a punch to the gut. Their 1994 debut got ‘em on the map, and their ’96 full-length ‘Discipline Through Sound’ on Skin Graft Records made them cult heroes. Yeah, they went quiet for a while, but they’ve been clawing their way back since 2010—dropping a few records and keeping the amps buzzing with Steve Albini’s magic touch until his passing.

Now, they’re taking it further with ‘End Comes Too Soon.’ Recorded by Shane Hochstetler at the hallowed Electrical Audio, this album is a tribute to their roots and Albini’s legacy, wrapped in the band’s classic bruising sound: drums that sound like a wrecking ball, basslines that throb through your bones, and those signature guitar stabs slicing through the chaos. Akins’ voice still packs that raw, unmistakable growl.

The new single ‘End Transmission’—track 12 on the album—ain’t just noise; it’s a message. Here’s what the band had to say: “We are always transmitting signals. From everything to the tone of our voice or the look on our face. These Transmissions will ripple throughout eternity, like waves through outer space. Be aware of your Transmissions. Beware what you wish. ‘The End Will Come Too Soon’.”

Get ready for the full force of ‘End Comes Too Soon’ with pre-orders live now. The album drops in standard and deluxe editions (aluminum packaging and a massive double-sided poster for the diehards), plus a digital release for those who like their chaos on the go.
