‘Just Bananas’ by Bones Ate Arfa

Brighton’s alt-rock trio Bones Ate Arfa are back, dropping their new EP ‘Just Bananas’ on April 22nd, with the fiery title track hitting the airwaves January 12th.

This powerhouse trio has been setting stages ablaze across the UK, carving out a sound all their own with their fusion of psychedelic street punk and desert rock. ‘Just Bananas’ amps up the fuzz with infectious riffs and vocals that radiate pure originality. Imagine Queens Of The Stone Age’s raw energy colliding with Muse’s glitchy textures, while Radiohead’s experimental flair adds a dash of unpredictability. The track takes you on a wild ride, starting with an irresistible hook and smoothly transitioning into a dreamy, melodic outro that lingers long after it ends.

The band spills the beans on the single: “’Just Bananas’ is the title track to our next EP coming out mid April. The song and EP name is a reference to mine (Arfa) and 8’s grandma as she owned a shop in our hometown called Just Bananas. The single is about her giving our guitarist, Bones, a cigarette at a birthday party, but also just about how cool of a person she is. She wears these giant fur coats that are pimping as hell and she owns one of those classic jukeboxes from the 60s. She’s been to so many of our shows which is mad cos we don’t exactly make the politest sounding music… she’s still yet to throw down a two step though.”
