‘Shepherd’s delight’ by Caspian Coberly | New Album, ‘Starlight’

‘Shepherd’s delight’ is the latest single from Caspian Coberly’s forthcoming album ‘Starlight,’ now set for release on Good Friday, April 11, 2025.

‘Starlight’ is a collection of tracks, evoking the spirit of late-‘60s and early-‘70s albums. Written entirely by Coberly, who also produced and played all the instruments, the album was recorded in a bedroom in Seattle, with a couple of sessions at Sunset Sound in LA. ‘Shepherd’s delight’ stands out as a fiery electric slide guitar monster.

The album is a guitar lover’s dream, delivering a wild blast of pure rock ‘n’ roll. Caspian’s musical journey began at age 5, after discovering Mick Ronson and Jimi Hendrix on DVD. Years later, he caught the attention of legends like Alan White, Duff McKagan, and Mike McCready. The pandemic provided the space for him to perfect his sound, culminating in ‘Starlight.’

Recording at Sunset Sound with Mark Giuliana, Stu Brooks, and Money Mark, he also brought in producers like Carter Lang and Buddy Ross to help shape the album. His diverse career includes collaborations with Madlib, contributions to Matt Cameron’s solo projects, and tours with Water From Your Eyes and Geese.

Recently, Caspian has been playing lead guitar in Matt Cameron’s solo quartet (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam) and the Wipers tribute project Is This Real?. He also performed at Pearl Jam’s sold-out Moda Center gig in Portland, and is set to bring ‘Starlight’ material to club dates with his live band.
