C’mon Tigre: Debut Album Reissue Now Available on Computer Students
C’mon Tigre have long blurred the lines between musical traditions and visual art, evolving from a dynamic duo into a global collective of innovators.
Since their 2014 debut, the band has been as much about sonic experiments as it is about creating immersive, cinematic experiences, a duality that has defined their five critically acclaimed albums.
Their journey is marked by a series of high-profile collaborations. Alongside figures like Colin Stetson, Seun Kuti, Arto Lindsay, and Xênia França, they’ve also joined forces with visual artists such as Gianluigi Toccafondo, Harri Peccinotti, Danijel Žeželj, and Paolo Pellegrin. Each encounter has added a fresh layer to their sound, underscoring an aesthetic that is both elusive and definitive.
Now, in a nod to their storied past and future ambitions, the band is reissuing their seminal self-titled debut—reborn as ‘TEN’ (Tenth Edition Newness). Originally released in 2015 by Africantape in a limited run of 301 vinyl copies that quickly sold out, this expanded edition has been given new life through the distinct Computer Students™ treatment. Slated for a worldwide release on April 11, 2025, ‘TEN’ is accompanied by the digital debut of Live at Tpo 2015: a raw document of the band’s first live performance, captured in Bologna on February 7, 2015, with a nine-piece lineup.

Meticulously revisited for modern ears, ‘TEN’ was initially mastered by Giovanni Versari in 2014 and received a fresh cut from Kassian Troyer in Berlin late last year. The result is a version that not only refines the original’s textures but also recontextualizes its sonic depth. A subtly reimagined cover and a sprawling booklet—rich with writings and imagery—further underscore this moment as a high point in C’mon Tigre’s artistic evolution.
The physical release is designed for the discerning collector: a double black vinyl pressing, 180-gram audiophile quality, running at 33rpm, encased in a reversed 6mm spine gatefold cover and complemented by a 12-page booklet. All of this is nestled within a uniquely heat-sealed aluminum Type-2 foil bag courtesy of Computer Students™, with only 190 copies set aside for select shows and online purchase.
Pre-orders for ‘TEN’ are now open at cmptrstdnts.com/ten.
In a parallel narrative of artistic daring, the band’s single ‘Federation Tunisienne De Football / Live at Tpo 2015’—recorded during that very inaugural live show—has carved out its own cult following. Its music video, a handcrafted animated journey by Italian artist Gianluigi Toccafondo, spins a surreal tale of an eccentric football team dancing on a sandy playground amid enchanted, animal-populated landscapes. With over 5000 frames painted by hand and eschewing any digital shortcuts, the video stands as a testament to the band’s uncompromising vision.
For those drawn to the cutting edge of musical and visual experimentation, ‘TEN’ is a reinvention of a classic moment in contemporary art.
