New Album by MeGo | ’90s Indie Gets a Brit Rock Twist
Exclusive album premiere of ‘A New Dope’ by MeGo, slated for release February 28th, 2025.
Born under the blazing Italian sun in the summer of 2013, MeGo burst onto the scene with a vision to fuse the energy of early ’90s American indie rock (think Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., Pixies) with the smooth sound of Brit rock (Stone Roses, Blur), all sprinkled with a heavy dose of ’60s psychedelia.

Their inaugural record, ‘The Naked Brunch’ (2015), set the stage for a sound that was both daring and deeply hypnotic. Not long after, they dropped the mind-bending CD EP ‘The Second Tragical MeGo’ (2017), a trippy collaboration with Minipomyca. Then came ‘And Now for Something Completely Different’ (2020), co-crafted with Danilo Silvestri…
Fast forward to the summer of 2024, and MeGo are back with their fourth album, ‘A New Dope.’ Recorded at the legendary Green Mountain Audio Studio, this record is a cosmic cocktail of Brit rock finesse and American alternative punch, stirred up with a pinch of ’60s and ’70s Floydian magic…thanks to lush synths and soulful organ lines that transport you straight to another dimension. The songs echo the spirit of Pavement and Pixies in their lyricism, while the arrangements pay homage to the iconic vibes of Blur and The Stone Roses.
So, plug in and let MeGo take you on a journey through time and sound…a true blast from the past.
