Berlin-based duo ByDS—aka Diego and Bee—aren’t here to fit into neat little boxes. Their sound shifts and mutates, blending alternative rock, pop, trip-hop, dark electronics, and Latin fusion into something that hits with the groove.

Their new single, ‘REGRET,’ is the first taste of their upcoming album, ‘Our Long Weekend,’ set to drop this spring. And yeah, there’s a video too directed by Brigitte Richter, adding a visual layer to the weight of the song.

This one’s personal. The lyrics, lifted from a poem by Bee, dig deep into the mess of choices, regrets, and the roads we walk away from. At one point, she stepped away from music and art, trading it in for family stability…shifts in a hospital, two kids, Diego across the ocean in Mexico with his ailing father. That day hit rock bottom. And what did she do? She wrote a song. Because music doesn’t let go.

A looping beat anchors ‘REGRET’…a rhythm that’s been haunting their work for years, shifting, reappearing, mutating. Now, it pulses with Berlin’s techno undercurrents, wrapped in solid, shadowy basslines and Diego’s signature guitar work—sharp, moody, and just the right amount of exquisite.
