Sofia Härdig’s ‘In Silence’ Speaks Volumes Ahead of ‘Lighthouse Of Glass’
Swedish artist Sofia Härdig returns with ‘In Silence,’ the final preview of her upcoming album ‘Lighthouse Of Glass,’ out April 11, 2025, via Bark at Your Owner.
Drawing from the dark intensity of Nick Cave, the edge of PJ Harvey, and the unhinged spirit of Alan Vega, the track is a slow-burning storm…an intimate whisper that swells into something untamed.
Originally buried in her archives, ‘In Silence’ found new life through layered instrumentation and a chance post-gig encounter. Violinist Sara Edin approached Härdig after a show, simply saying, “If you need violin, just call me.” That offhand offer turned into a bold, haunting addition to the track, deepening its eerie, cinematic feel. “I love her tone and playing,” Härdig says. “It’s bold and beautiful, just like her.”
Opening with fragile acoustic guitar, the song builds in intensity, anchored by Härdig’s commanding vocals cutting through with the force of a confession. If this is just the tip of the iceberg, ‘Lighthouse Of Glass’ is shaping up to be something massive lurking beneath the surface.
