David Ivan Neil writes like a guy who tried to leave town but never quite shook the dust off. ‘I Hope Yer OK’ is a lo-fi country-folk transmission from the outskirts, half a joke, half a confession, and maybe a dare. These songs feel like notes scrawled on gas station receipts, late-night kitchen table truths, and letters that never made it to the mailbox. Rough around the edges but raw with heart.
